A Dream of Fading Stars
As time began the first of us were born, Emerging in a realm, black and forlorn.
Casting the first light shining through the dark, Creating the first warmth ousting the bitter chill.
Playing with gravity, speeding through the void.
Setting subtle sparks of evolution – the origin of life.
Our lives differ in length, our power differs in strength.
Our diversity is great, following several paths of fate.
Some of us shine constant and even, others dance to a rhythm set, As lone stars, in clusters formed or in a circling net.
Some of us perish tumultuous and quick, others slowly diminish and fade. The shining light goes dark, the comforting warmth grows cold.
And though our light may not be infinite, we are eternal still.
Nothing is truly lost and of old arises new.

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this.

Have only listened to the first three tracks so far. Somehow the indie/grunge/funereal/doom elements meld together well. Well worth a listen! 😁 Update - couldn't stop listening. No weak tracks. Music that won't stand still, but holds up well throughout. My favourite non-electronic release for some time. Thanks so much for the code! 😎
